Development of Wire Pieces✂️
One of the things I wanted to do was to experiment with another material - something thinner and more flexible. I found the wire I had originally used very sturdy and hard to manipulate, meaning the outcome was very abstract and far from the original drawings.
I chose some coloured wire to solve this issue - blue and pink - the colours from my research, that proved to associate with 'female' and 'male'.

I then thought about my concept - the separate colours, having one pink and one blue, adds to the idea of the genders being in-equal - the opposite to my aim. I decided to see what it would look like both on each - see the photos below:

Overall, I really like these outcomes. I think the fact the wire is a lot thinner helps define the two figures even more, making it very obvious what they are.
I do love the two originals ones, but I think the two colours merging together has this added dimension to it, making it look really interesting, and enhances the design. On a larger scale, I think the impact would be really strong.
